Some of my 6x6 Recipe Cards

I just
love Red, Black & White themed
items.
My Moon Cake recipe I enclosed a
small card tucked behind the recipe
that you can record the day you made
it and what flavor pudding you used as well as how everyone liked that flavor.
I love lemon & coconut.
The Oven Fried Chicken is also great with
Pork Chops.

Some 6x6 recipe cards from 2009

Here are a few 6x6 recipe cards I
have received from a monthly swap
in 2009.

A great Baked Potato Soup by Sue Stout.
Pepe Mac Salad from Suzie Hasko.
Sheppard's Pie by Kimberly Johnston.
And a Pumpkin Bread from Sharon Fields.
So much talent!!!!

Cheesecake results

Well, not done! It looked nice on the outside but when I sliced it, the very center was not set all the way. I am going to say the first 2 bites since I normally take smaller bits of a slice of cheesecake. The rest was pretty tastey. I did not care for the crust though. It is a gingersnap crust and just seems too hard and taste kinda dark. I did not try cutting with floss, there was no way it would have ever cut thru the crust, I barely got the knife thru (sorry, not knife, I used a metal spatula like for frosting a cake). I think I will try another flavor next time and be sure to keep an eye on the oven.

Laila's Birthday card

Well this is one of a few that were on my SD disc that I carelessly formatted. So I had to borrow it from my niece to take a new pic, that is why it is signed in photo. I started with white Brazill cardstock. Both patterned cs is DCWV Butterflys & Blossoms. A DCWV cs for mat on front as well as the inside. Stamp is Inkadinkado Round Frame with Butterfly in outside frame and Happy Birthday sentiment on inside frame. I colored in butterflys and frame with some LePlume II pens. The butterfly on outside is 2 layers, can't see that very well. Rounded all my edges and added ribbon. I had taken all components with my when my son Bradley and I went to Florida 2 weeks ago. Had the crazy idea I would assemble all on the plane but the ride was a bit rough and there was no way I was coloring on that trip. So, just had to finish at my Dads.

My 1st Cheesecake

I don't have a photo to share yet but I thought I would take a stab at a Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake today. Fell in love with the picture on the front of a Taste of Home book. So I went and bought myself a springform pan and all ingredients. Whipped everything up and the batter looked so so nice. Stuck it in my water bath then into the oven. We sat down to eat supper while my creation was in the oven. I did set the timer so I had to get up often to go check it. I was afraid I would not be able to tell when it was done. I didn't want to use the toothpick or knife testing method cause I figured it would just form a large crack as the cheesecake was cooling as my Pumpkin Pie did this morning. So the timer finally went off. I went in to check it, first turning the timer off. It still looked like it was a little too wiggley. So I set the timer for 8 more minutes. Went in 8 minutes later to find that the oven had turned off somewhere along the line. I almost cried! I turned it back on and it did take a few minutes to pre-heat so it must have turned off a bit ago. So now what?!!!! Well, I guess we will see Thanksgiving Day if it is done or not. It was starting to brown on top so I had to take it out. It still seemed like it might not be set but I don't know that there was anything else I could do. Everything else seems ok with it. I let it cool and took the ring off. Nothing ran out the sides, guess that is a semi-good sign? I just can't wait to cut it. I think I may try dental floss for that. Hate the thought of tearing it apart with a knife. Wish me luck.

Autumn Greetings

Think I decided to make some Fall cards a bit late. This is the first of only 2. I started with a Brazill Brown for the base. All other cardstock is from the DCWV Indian Summer stacks. Stamp set is Inkadinkado Fall Foliage. Verse is ??? I am drawing a blank. I want to say the set is Autumn Greetings but not sure. It is NOT Inkadinkado. I forgot to label the case and thru the package out. I stamped with Brilliance Brown. Added a few dew drops, shimmery ribbon and 2 leaves I punched from a Martha Stewart punch. Card measures 5 3/4" x 5 3/4". I used a brown bag colored envelope which I stamped a leaf in bottom corner.

1st easel card

Well I started out with a Brazzil Red base. Not sure what brand the shimmery blue cardstock is but I embossed with Sizzix Christmas texturz plate, do wish it was embossed deeper. The bottom reindeer paper came from Michaels. Used my Spellbinders Label 1 for the reindeer which is from Inkadinkado set and stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue. I dazzled him with a Swarvski crystal for an eye and other gems on his bod. The 2 layer snowflake is from Martha Stewart punched on a DCWV green and also has a Swarvski red crystal. Watched Beate make a bow with the Crafters Companion, which I do not have yet but is on my wish list. Since I don't have one and wanted to do a bow like that, I kinda made my own with a piece of wood and some long nails. Spaced them out at 3" and that is how I got the bow. I wish I would have tied the piec that goes around the paper in with the bow but I didn't think about that until I had the bow done. And since I used wired ribbon, I was not taking it apart so I used jewel-it glue to to attach. Hopefully it stays. I used my Spellbinders scallop rectangle dies to make the stopper inside stamping my phrase with a misc stamp. Layered it on the DCWV green but wish I would have used red instead. I attached both rectangle and label cut outs with pop dots. I had already put glue dots on a snowflake button, which I was originally going to use for the stopper, so I found a place for that and attached a Swarvski red crystal to the center as well as more of the tiny crystals scattered on the inside. The overall size is 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" which was a mistake. I thought my envelopes were 6x6 but they are 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". Boy is that a bummer. So it is a little big but I stamped some snowflakes on it with the same color ink. I will have to work on making another one of these this weekend. Tomorrow is prep day. Wish me luck.

Horse Coasters

Here is the first set of coasters I have made. Still don't know if I should seal them with anything. I did bake them for awhile. I used a tile from Lowes. Stamped with Stazon Brown using Inkadinkado "Horses" stamp set. Sponged around the edges cause they just looked too plain without it. I then found, on clearance :) at Lowe's, tiny felt sticky circles that I attached to all 4 corners of the undersides. Still not sure how to display/present them. I played around with making a box out of a sheet of acetate but just don't know yet.

Simon in Brilliance Sky Blue

Here is my Simon Cat. He is from the Inkadinkado "Gemstone Cats" set and stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue. I attached some different size clear rhinestones on his bod and blue marquis shaped for his eyes. I hunted EVERYWHERE the other week for that shape only to find just last night that I have a whole bag of them stashed in a bowl that never gets opened. Have all kinds of shapes in there. The sentiment is from the Inkidinkado "Friendly Advice" set stamped with Stazon Brown. All cardstock is DCWV. Also attached some rhinestones to inside corner.

Mia

I didn't know how I would like this stamp but now I do think it is a favorite. This is Mia and she is stamped in Brown Stazon. All cardstock is DCWV "Pets" and "Brights" stack. The base card is a Brazzill French Vanilla, all the paper I have and I didn't have a off white of any sort. Mia is from Inkadinkado "Patterned Pets" set and the "Always Friends" is from Hero Arts "Playful Animals" set. Used my circle & scalloped circle punch and attached with piece of gross grain brown ribbon. Also used my bubble border from EK Success, finally. All edges have been rounded as well as my matted
inside.

Horse coaster

Well, I tried another coaster. Purchased from Lowe's. I have been wanting to do something with this Inkidinkado "Horses" stamp set I have. Stamped this one with brown Stazon and sponged the same around the edge. Still want to heat set it to be on the safe side. Will hopefully get some more done this week and decide on a way to present them.

FiFi in Rocket Red Gold

Here is FiFi in Brilliance Rocket Red Gold. Same DCWV stack and solids. She is from Inkadinkado "Cats" set. Used a round corner punch with tiny heart. Tied a piece of grossgrain brown ribbon. Inside is double matted also with the corners rounded. Extra postage on this one.

FiFi in gold

Thought I would start naming my cat & dog stamps so I don't get them too confused. This is FiFi and she is stamped in Galaxy Gold Brilliance from an Inkadinkado "Cats" stamp set. Striped paper is from the DCWV "Pets" stack. Added green ribbon and a few dew drops. Inside is stamped with a SeeD's border stamp with the same ink.

Pocket calendar

here is one of those pocket calendars I altered. Got it from Michaels for $1. Used my DCWV "Pets" stack to cover front and back. Punched paw print and matted year dates on solid DCVW & Brazzill cardstock. I had made a circle punch that fits inside the paw print punch that was coated with tack it over and over. That way when I punch the print, it keeps it together, then just add adhesive and the circle pulls right off. But... of course, it disappeared! And I was to impatient to make another one and wait for it to dry. Guess I should still do that for future paw punches. O, the inside of the calendar also has dogs on all the pages, that is how it came.

Final Kitty page for now

This is the last of my scrapbook pages to share for now. Have to get on some more today. After cards, cleaning, gym, shopping, laundry, dinner........ Just not enough time.

"Animal Cracker" pages

All of these pages are from DCWV "Animal Cracker" stack. The top one reminds me of Froot Loops. Tried finding tiny punches for the matted journal sections but couldn't find any so 2nd page down does have a tiny frog punched in smallest section.

More Dog pages

Plaid Cat Scrapbook page

Another 12x12 scrapbook page made with DCWV "Pets" & solid colors cardstock. If you look close, there is a tiny cat punched out of the small reddish square.

Kitty scrapbook page

This is 12x12 page created with DCWV "Pets" cardstock and solid colors. Wanted the top layers to be on the bottom but after I already taped them on, I realized all the printed words would be upside down so I turned it around and altered the position of the other matted sections. There is a little punch out on the orange rectangle which I did mount onto the base (no pop dots) so it can be used for journaling.

Patchwork Paws Card

Here is another card I finished using DCWV cardstock. Punched squares with McGill 1 1/4" deckle square and attached with pop dots after punching paw print in each with my Marvy punch. Wanted to make paw prints going different directions but just couldn't manuver that.

Orange Gem Dog Card

Another Doggie card I finished. All paper/cardstock is DCWV, patterned is from the "Pet" stack. Stamp is Inkidinkado "Dogs". Stamped with Stazon Brown and added different sizes of orange gems and blue on the collar. Spellbinders for scalloped rectangles.

Another Doggie card

Ok, this one similar to last. All DCWV cardstock from the "Pets" stack and "Brights" stack. Base is of a cream color cardstock with a patterened piece layered on top. I punched 12 different deckled edge squares with my McGill 1 1/4" punch. Carefully adheared them to the base. Stamped the doggie from Inkidinkado "Dogs" stamp set with brown Stazon ink onto white DCWV cardstock which I layered onto a mustardie colored from DCWV "Neutrals" stack. Cut edge of each with deckeled edge scissors. The "Woof!" is from the same stamp set. Added couple Dew Drops and attached with pop dots. Inside is single layer of the mustard colored cardstock with tiny paw prints going up the side. Hope you like.

Doggie card

Here is a card I made with my Inkidinkado Gemstone Dog stamps. I started with white cardstock base. Added patterened cardstock from DCWV "Pets" stack. Stamped a Gemstone Dog with brown stazon onto DCWV cardstock. Layered it on a light blue then dark brown DCWV. The words are from a $1 stamp set I got at JoAnn's but cut it up so I could fit it in a circle punch which I layered onto a scalloped punch out. Used some Marvy LePlume II pens to color him in a bit then added several sizes of light blue rhinestones. I had the crazy thought I would buy all Swarovski crystals but realized how much money I would be getting into and not too many people are going to care how much the stones cost when it comes to buying these cards. I then attached the dog and saying with pop dots. Inside is layer of Light blue cardstock with a large paw print stamp on lower right corner.

Recipe Card

Here is a 6x6 recipe cards

Stampin Up colors. Rounded all the
edges, yes it took some time to do
20 cards! Punched some daisy's with
my Marvy punch. Used "One of A
Kind" stamp set with Brown Staz-on,
Colorbox turquoise and Versa Mark on the
Pink card. The chicken is good. So much
junk in the background!!!!

10th Anniversary Card

Still don't know why these don't load in the order I want them too!!

This is an Anniversary card I made for my brother and sister-in-law. Used all DCWV cardstock. Used Spellbinder scallop circle and standard circle for front piece as well as circle on inside. Stampin Up "Paint Prints" for the center flower.
